Congratulations to Prof Rafiqul Gani - Elected as EFCE Scientific Vice President

Professor Rafiqul Gani has been elected as EFCE Scientific Vice-President during the meeting of EFCE General Assembly in Berlin on Sep 25th. He will start his term on January 1st 2012.

The major area of his research are multiscale modelling for managing the complexity in process-product design, sustainable process design and analysis, computer aided product design and development of predictive models for estimation of properties of chemical systems

Professor Gani is author and co-author of over 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 120 articles in reviewed conference proceedings and 5 edited books. He supervised 37 PhD and 69 MSc students.

Professor Gani is very actively serving the CAPE community as member of editorial advisory board for many journals, member of the scientific boards of many conferences and congresses, evaluator of academic positions and research project proposals, member of the Board of Trustees of AIChE.

Professor Gani is a member of Chairman CAPE Working Party and its chairman in years 2001 – 2007. His outstanding achievements are one of the cornerstones on which we all develop the activities of Computer Aided Process Engineering Working Party.
