CAPE FORUM, March 27-28, 2009, Limerick, Ireland

  CAPE Forum 2009 took place March 27 – 28, in Oakwood Arms Hotel – Shannon, near Limerick, Ireland. The institutional organizer of the event was University of Limerick – Charles Parsons Institute on Energy and Sustainable Environment and Mathematics Application Consortium for Science and Industry (MACSI). The CAPE Forum planning and all arrangements were made by Prof Toshko Zhelev.

The leading topic of the event was Energy and Sustainable Environment.
40 people out of 15 European countries and the US attended the two days of the event.
The programme included 20 oral presentations and 10 posters, structured in 5 sessions, concluded by discussions on problems raised during corresponding session presentations.

The specifics of this event included session chairing by young PhD graduates. Recorded was the natural synergy between engineers, scientists, mathematicians and environmentalists.
Interesting was the experimental discussion session including real problem solving.
The scientific contributions were published through a CD ROM, which is available on request.
Participants enjoyed an Irish folklore evening at Dolans Pub, Dock Road – Limerick and a half day trip to Birr Castle Demense – Co.Tiperary.
